Wasswa Shafik hails from Kampala, Uganda. Passionate about the health of people and the use of advances in technology, and justice of all kinds regardless of race, sex, or any. His educational background is within technology and engineering disciplines where he studied his Bachelor of Sciences in Information Technology Engineering majored in System Informatics and programming attained from Ndejje University, Uganda. Pursued his masters of Sciences in Computer Engineering at Yazd University, Islamic Republic of Iran, He developed, maintained, and used systems including Health Information Systems like DHIS2. Wasswa so far has worked as the assistant developer officer for Uganda National ICT Uganda including statistical analysis mentoring, managing Linux and Windows-based systems, worked with Population Services International (Psi-Uganda) during research, data management, community data officer at Programme for Accessible Health Communication (PACE -Uganda) focusing on the vulnerability of youth-friendly services, H/V Aids, reproductive health risks. His research interest does include, Cyber Security, 5G & Beyond, Smart Cities, Smart Grid, and Machine Learning. In his free time, Wasswa engages in learning different norms, cultures, reading, and interacting with a multicultural situation that will help me knowing all emerging technologies and people in a traditional setup, traveling to different locations in search of adventure.
