Dave Hester, aka “The Mogul”, owner of a the thrift store in Costa Mesa, currently has 15 employees, and is the second most financed of the Storage Wars group, as well as the show’s recurring antagonist.
In April 2012 Dave Hester was involved in a lawsuit over his famous catch phrase “Yuuup.” Dave had recently been granted a trademark for the phrase but unfortunately R&B star Trey Songz. Trey Songz claimed he has has been using the phrase “Yuuup” since at least 2009. The problem is that both Hester and Songz are using the phrase to make money off clothing lines and merchandise.
