Megan Jill Russell is an engineer based in Johannesburg. She is popularly known for inventing an artificial latex or robotic voice which was featured by MIT Technology Review.
She holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering and an MSc in Biomedical Engineering both at the University of Cape Town. In addition, she completed a PhD in Electrical Engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand.
Her PhD was supervised by David Rubin, Tshilidzi Marwala and Brian Wigdorowitz.
