Aaron McCargo, Jr. Aaron McCargo, Jr. is an American chef who has a net worth of $3 million dollars. Aaron McCargo, Jr. was born in Camden, New Jersey, and discovered an interest in cooking at young age, cooking things in his sister’s “Easy-Bake Oven”. He went on to work as a Junior Volunteer in the kitchen of Cooper University Hospital, and subsequently attended the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Camp Community College. He dropped out of the program after one year, and after taking a cake baking course, began baking and selling his cakes to customers in and around Camden. After working at multiple restaurants, and serving as an executive chef, he opened his own restaurant, McCargo’s Creative Cuisine, in 2003, and also worked as the Executive Chef for Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. In 2008, at the urging of his wife, he became a contestant on the reality competition series, “The Next Food Network Star”. He won the competition, and began filming his own cooking show. The program is currently in its third season.
