In 1985, she won the comedian/actress Tony Award for her one-woman Broadway show In Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe. Tomlin continued to stay relevant, appearing in such shows as Frasier, Homicide: Life on the Street, Will & Grace and The West Wing. After 42 years in a domestic relationship with partner Jane Wagner, Tomlin and Wagner married in a private ceremony in Los Angeles, California on New Year’s Eve 2013.
