Ivomoku Bakusuba was a Burundian serial killer who confessed to having killed over 67 children.

Crimes and arrest

Bakusuba killed his victims by strangling them with a bedsheet. He targeted mostly poor girls and boys, as he was a poor man himself. In the 1940s, Kayanza Province inhabitants were panicked by Bakusuba.

He was arrested in 1944, and confessed to killing 67 children.

Death

He committed suicide, “probably in the late 1940s or early 1950s”.
