Biography

Senator Francis Nkwain was born on 19 April 1930. He has served the country as a Diplomat, Parliamentarian, President of the Board of Directors (University of Dschang) and died as a pioneer Senator. Senator Francis Nkwain was very influential during the 2013 senate elections to arrive at a consensus. Francis Nkwain Bochong, is a household name in Cameroon politics: a diplomat, former minister and presently a CPDM Central Committee Member and Board Chairman of the University of Dschang. On July 21, 2012, a huge crowd of mourners gathered in Njinikom, Boyo Division to bury the 111-year-old mother of the late senator, Mama Nini Thecla Neng. Religious and traditional rituals summed up the funeral program with tributes that portrayed late Nini Thecla Neng Nakeh as a loving and caring mother of seven children, 21 grandchildren, 35 grandchildren and an agent of communicating Christ to each other on earth. Born in 1901, Nini Thecla Neng died on July 13, 2012 and Boh Herbert, a relative said, at 111 it is likely a new record of longevity in Kom and beyond. He leaves behind a sick wife and seven children to mourn his departure to the world beyond. Nkwain was died on 19 October 2014 at age of 84 years. He was buried on 14 November 2014.
