Ephren Taylor net worth: Ephren Taylor is an American businessman who has a net worth of $10 million dollars. Ephren Taylor was born in Blackwater, Mississippi, and first rose to national attention as the inventor of a videogame that made him a millionaire in his 20s. At least that was his story. He took his story of making millions, and traveled amongst primarily African-American church groups around the country, serving as a financial advisor. He gave speeches and lectures on investment, and invited churchgoers to invest large amounts in his real estate development deals focused on improving and renovating impoverished areas such as inner-city ghettos. His series of lectures was called the “Building Wealth Tour”, and included stops at some of the nation’s largest mega-churches, including New Birth Baptist Church and Lakewood Church. He collected over $11 million and then disappeared. He has since been charged with fraud by the Securities and Exchange Commission, and has been ordered to pay over $14 million.
